FAQ & troubleshooting
Answers to common questions about workspaces, imports, collections, and subscriptions, plus fixes for a few stuck-import situations.
A scanned piece is stuck 'processing' — what do I do?
OCR usually finishes within a minute or two. If a piece stays “processing” much longer, open it — if it’s failed, it will show an error and you can retry the upload. If the upload itself was interrupted before it even reached the server (for example, connectivity dropped mid-transfer), the placeholder piece is cleaned up automatically rather than left stuck; if you still see one stuck with no error, delete it and re-import.
Why can't I add a movement to a collection?
Collections only accept top-level pieces — standalone pieces and whole multi-movement works. Add the work itself to the collection rather than one of its individual movements. See Multi-movement works.
Why can't I start a personal or church subscription?
A personal plan can’t be started while an organization workspace is active — use the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar to switch to your personal workspace first. A church plan is billed to an organization, so you’ll be prompted to create or select one before checkout if you don’t already have one.
How do I switch between a church and a personal workspace?
Use the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar. After sign-in you’ll also see a Choose a workspace screen if you have more than one. Organization admins can create a free personal workspace from that menu or Settings → Billing.
Why does my church workspace say the library is locked?
That usually means the organization’s subscription is past due, unpaid, or canceled. An organization admin needs to fix payment (or resubscribe) from Settings → Billing — see Plans & billing.
Can I export my library?
Not yet — there’s no CSV/PDF export or print view for the library at this time.
Can I use natural-language search, like 'Advent anthems for SATB'?
Yes. Type that kind of phrase in the library search box. Church Music Locker parses season, occasion, scripture, and genre when they are clear, then ranks pieces in your active workspace by meaning. Dropdown filters still apply. It does not search other churches or a public catalog.
