Getting started

Create an account, choose a plan, and understand personal vs. church workspaces before you start adding music.

Creating an account

Sign up at churchmusiclocker.com with an email address (or a supported social sign-in). You can optionally check Email me product updates and news — we only send product features and updates, and we don’t share your email with other companies. You’ll then choose a plan and start a 14-day free trial — no charge until the trial ends. After checkout we send a short welcome email with getting-started tips, a link to this guide, and a Manage your account link to Settings.

Choosing a plan

Plan Price Workspace Best for
Personal $9.99/month Your own individual workspace A musician managing their own library
Church $14.99/month A shared organization workspace A church whose music staff and volunteers share one library

Both plans include unlimited pieces of music, collections, and the same import tools. The difference is who the library belongs to — see Personal vs. church workspaces below.

You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Settings — see Plans & billing.

Personal vs. church workspaces

Church Music Locker uses two kinds of workspace, and every piece, collection, service, and performance belongs to exactly one of them:

  • Personal workspace — your own library, visible only to you. This is the default workspace when no organization is selected.
  • Church (organization) workspace — a shared library visible to everyone in that organization. Choose the Church plan to create one.

A church-plan user works in that shared organization library after creating the organization or accepting an invitation. A personal-plan library stays private to you.

If you belong to more than one workspace (two churches, or a church plus a personal library), you’ll be asked to choose a workspace after sign-in. Switch later from the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar.

Organization admins can create a free personal workspace from that menu or from Settings → Billing. It’s included as long as you remain an admin of at least one organization.

Starting a Church plan

If you choose the Church plan and don’t yet have an organization, you’ll be prompted to create one before checkout. Adding other music staff or volunteers is done from Settings → Organization — see Organization.

Signing in later

Return to churchmusiclocker.com and sign in with the same credentials. Church-plan workspaces share one library among everyone who has accepted an invitation to that organization.
